As Community Manager for Red Robin, I made it a priority to treat every guest interaction with care and empathy. One morning, I received a message from the mother of Bentley, a young, non-verbal boy on the autism spectrum and a devoted Red Robin fan. She reached out hoping for a few birthday surprises. I saw an opportunity to create something truly special. Partnering with the “do good” organization Dude Be Nice, we shut down Bentley’s local Red Robin and gave him the star treatment—filming a custom birthday commercial to celebrate his big day. It was a powerful reminder of how social media can be used to spread joy and make a real impact.
